Leadership Structure

The Role of the Men’s Minds Matter Board

The Men's Minds Matter Board is designed to oversee and guide the operations, initiatives, and mission of Men's Minds Matter. Its primary purpose is to advance men's mental health, promote emotional well-being, and reshape traditional notions of masculinity through inclusive, supportive programs and projects. Within Men’s Minds Matter, there are two types of boards: regional and chapter boards.

  • Regional boards operate at a broader geographic level, often overseeing multiple chapters within a specific region.

    Responsibilities:

    • Coordinate efforts between chapters in the region.

    • Organize larger-scale events, conferences, or initiatives.

    • Offer support and training for chapter boards.

    • Represent regional interests in larger organizational decisions.

    Composition:

    • Regional board members are experienced students who ensure collaboration and efficiency across chapters.

  • Chapter boards function at the local (school) level, running the day-to-day operations of a single chapter.

    Responsibilities:

    • Plan and execute chapter-specific events and activities.

    • Foster a supportive community for members within the chapter.

    • Recruit and retain members to grow the chapter’s impact.

    • Collect and share feedback with regional boards for continual improvement.

    Composition:

    • Chapter boards are typically made up of students committed to advancing the mission locally.

The two types of boards work together in a tiered system. Regional boards provide oversight, resources, and support to chapter boards, while chapter boards bring the organization’s mission to life by engaging directly with their communities. This structure allows for a unified vision while empowering localized action.
